We loved visiting Dublin. The city has lots of interesting museums, fun night life for all different tastes, beautiful architecture and was voted as the most friendly European city. We prepared a list of things we loved doing there and hopefully you will enjoy as much as we did.
Take a walking tour
There are really cool street art to be seen in Dublin. Also the architecture is very unique. Dublin is walkable and safe, there is no reason not to explore the city walking. Remember that it rains a lot in Ireland, so be prepared for the weather and bring a waterproof jacket.

Go see the deers at Phoenix Park

Located  2km from the Dublin city centre, it’s very easy to get there and is a fun thing to do in sunny day I in Dublin. It’s a huge park and you can spend many hours exploring. We were surprised with so many deers running freely in the park. It was something really cool to experience. There are many things to see in the park including the 62 meters Wellington Monument, the Magazine Fort and the People’s Garden. The admission for the park is free.

This is the perfect day trip from Dublin. Galway is a harbor city on Ireland’s west coast, you can leave early in the morning and catch the first bus leaving from Dublin. If you have an extra day in Dublin you should not miss it. On the top of that, from Galway you can do a tour to explore the beautiful landscapes of the country side of Ireland and visit the Cliff of Moher, which was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. The views are breathtaking and the sea cliffs run for about 14 kilometers. It’s size is monumental and you should not miss that!

 Where to stay
We stayed at the Temple Bar neighborhood and we loved it. It can be a little noisy because most of the pubs – including the most famous – are located there but we loved to be right in the heart of the city where everything happens. There are plenty of options of restaurants, clubs, stores, etc. The best thing about staying there is that we were walking distance from everything which optimized our time in Dublin.
 Take a library tour
Visit the Trinity’s Long Library, its enormous and beautiful. Also there are exhibits there that you can check out.
Do a pub tour
Pubs in Ireland are a big part of the local culture and you should not miss it. There are hundreds especially if you go to the Temple Bar area.
Go to Guiness Storehouse
Learn about the history of beer. The storehouse has 7 floors and one of the attractions of the museum is a copy of the 9,000 year lease signed by Arthur Guinness on the brewery site.
